Questo è ciò che rimane di uno dei tanti castelletti posti sopra i pozzi di estrazione dello zolfo della miniera Trabia Tallarita.
Uno scheletro d’acciaio che resta a testimonianza dell’antico passato della terra di Sicilia. Un cartello azzurro, che nel tempo è diventato bersaglio di colpi di fucile, riporta il nome della ditta costruttrice: Ceretti e Tofani.
La struttura è pericolosamente fatiscente e, se l’intelaiatura metallica può sembrare apparentemente stabile, è comunque ricoperta di Eternit, in parte crollata e frantumatasi al suolo. Il castelletto sorge a picco sulle sponde del fiume Salso, che lentamente ha eroso la parete argillosa, lasciando esposte alcune gallerie sotterranee.
Ancora una volta, le stelle, riprese in sequenza in questo star trail, ci ricordano il tempo che passa inesorabile sulla memoria storica, rischiando di cancellarla se non saremo in grado di preservarla.

A steel skeleton that bears witness to the ancient past of Sicily. A blue sign, which over time has become the target of rifle shots, bears the name of the construction company: Ceretti e Tofani.
The structure is dangerously dilapidated and, although the metal framework may appear stable, it is covered with Eternit, which has partially collapsed and shattered on the ground. The tower stands overlooking the banks of the Salso River, which has slowly eroded the clay wall, exposing some underground tunnels.
Once again, the stars, captured in sequence in this star trail, remind us of the inexorable passage of time on historical memory, which risks being erased if we are unable to preserve it.
