This image shows the beauty of the magnificent alignment between the cinereous Moon, Venus and the M44 cluster which occurred on the morning of September 12, 2023. The perfect scenario for this celestial event is the Etna volcano which appears partially active with the reddish glow on the top of the summit craters and the clouds of gas and dust that are emitted from them.
In the foreground you can see an old extinct volcano which takes the name of Monte Ruvolo. The stars in alignment are also bathed in the glow of the zodiacal light.
