The Storks Kiss Under The Moon

Resistant to human presence and, more recently, to Hurricane Harry's winds, several pairs of storks have been nesting for years on medium-voltage poles near the mouth of the Simeto River.
Each nest is a small masterpiece of natural architecture: twig after twig, patiently woven together, forms a complex and surprisingly resistant structure, on top of which the storks raise their young.
Watching these large birds glide with their broad wings towards the nest, seeing them ruffle their feathers or court each other with delicate “kisses” by crossing their beaks is a unique emotion, reminding us how resilient and wonderful nature can be.
And so, in a brief moment, I manage to capture a rare moment of intimacy between them, as the moon rises and aligns itself next to the pylon, adding a touch of romance to an already deeply moving scene.
