Ho sempre sognato di raggiungere Punta Secca per catturare la Luna in uno scatto. Volevo esprimere quel senso di pace e di tempo sospeso tipico di certi angoli di Sicilia. È un luogo che abbiamo imparato ad amare anche grazie al Commissario Montalbano, la cui celebre casa con terrazza si affaccia proprio su questo piccolo golfo. Ed è esattamente quell'idea di Sicilia autentica, trasmessa dalla serie, che ho voluto ripercorrere: qui l'abitato fa da cornice ideale alla Luna Blu, che sorge e si specchia sul mare.
La torre, il faro e la casa del Commissario sono elementi ben distinguibili in un’immagine che brilla dei riflessi delle luci e del cielo. Durante il suo cammino attraverso i bassi strati dell'atmosfera, la Luna cambia colore, sfumando dal rosso al bianco. Il risultato è un insieme armonioso, una tavolozza perfetta in cui i colori si fondono, facendoci quasi respirare l'odore della sabbia calda e il fruscio delle onde.

I’ve always dreamed of visiting Punta Secca to capture the moon in a photograph. I wanted to convey that sense of peace and timelessness so characteristic of certain corners of Sicily. It’s a place we’ve come to love partly thanks to Inspector Montalbano, whose famous house with a terrace overlooks this very little bay. And it is precisely that idea of authentic Sicily, conveyed by the series, that I wanted to capture: here, the village provides the perfect backdrop to the Blue Moon, rising and reflecting on the sea.
The tower, the lighthouse and the Inspector’s house are clearly distinguishable elements in an image that glows with the reflections of the lights and the sky. As it travels through the lower layers of the atmosphere, the Moon changes colour, fading from red to white. The result is a harmonious whole, a perfect palette in which the colours blend, almost allowing us to breathe in the scent of warm sand and the rustle of the waves.
