Immerso nel dolce infrangersi delle onde sulla scogliera del Plemmirio, assisto al sorgere delle stelle della Via Lattea.
Non sono l’unico spettatore: tra i giochi di forme scolpite dalla forza del mare, un occhio sembra osservare in silenzio il cielo. È una pozza d’acqua salmastra, la cui forma richiama sorprendentemente quella di un occhio. Al suo centro, due grossi macigni — chissà come spinti fin lì dalla natura — evocano la sagoma di un’iride.
Sulla superficie placida dell’acqua, velata di verde dalla presenza di piccole alghe, si riflettono le stelle, trasformando questo frammento di costa in uno sguardo rivolto verso il cosmo.

Surrounded by the gentle lapping of the waves against the Plemmirio cliffs, I watch the stars of the Milky Way come into view.
I am not the only spectator: amongst the shapes carved by the force of the sea, an eye seems to be silently observing the sky. It is a pool of brackish water, whose shape strikingly resembles that of an eye. At its centre, two large boulders — who knows how nature pushed them there — evoke the outline of an iris.
On the placid surface of the water, veiled in green by the presence of tiny algae, the stars are reflected, transforming this stretch of coastline into a gaze turned towards the cosmos.
