Earthshine Moon and Mars Above Nubia Tower Caption
There is no place in Sicily where you feel time slowing down like in its salt pans. Facing west, on the coast of Trapani, the salt pans of the Nubia district are tinged with the colors of the sunset every day. Its pools go from green to yellow, from orange to pink from the tiny algae of the waters that crystallize the salt. Its placid surfaces become a mirror for the clouds and the stars in the sky.
Together with them the silhouette of the Nubia Tower is reflected, a silent companion over time.
The tower was built inside an ancient trap and later used to defend the territory. Historical tradition tells us that the tower was erected on the remains of an ancient Arab farmhouse called Mazil.
In this picture, the colors of the twilight are the background to the ashen Moon which is preparing to set accompanied by the planet Mars.
