Variopinto Mosaico delle Meteore delle Perseidi



30 meteore catturate durante la notte delle Perseidi compresa tra l'11 e il 12 agosto. Le meteore sono state disposte in modo da allinearsi secondo la direzione (anche se non tutte provengono dal centro di questa immagine). Ogni quadrato rappresenta una porzione di cielo dove le meteore sono apparse. Alcune si trovano anche in vicinanza di oggetti celesti importanti come M31, le Pleiadi e la nebulosa California. Un elemento di interesse è il diverso colore assunto dal cielo durante la notte e che varia anche in funzione dell'altezza sull'orizzonte.

Colorful Mosaic of the Perseids Meteors



30 meteors captured during the night of the Perseids between 11 and 12 August. The meteors have been arranged to align according to direction (although not all of them came from the centre of this image). Each square represents a portion of the sky where the meteors appeared. Some are also found in the vicinity of important celestial objects such as M31, the Pleiades and the California nebula. One element of interest is the different colour the sky takes on during the night, which also varies depending on the height above the horizon.
