Earthshine Moon and Mars Above Nubia Tower
Non esiste luogo in Sicilia dove si avverte il tempo rallentare come nelle sue saline. Rivolte ad ovest, sulla costa del trapanese, le saline della contrada Nubia si tingono ogni giorno dei colori del tramonto. Le sue vasche passano dal verde al giallo, dall'arancio al rosa delle minuscole alghe delle acque che cristallizzano il sale. Le sue superfici placide diventano specchio per le nuvole e per gli astri del cielo.
Insieme ad essi si specchia la sagoma della Torre Nubia silenziosa compagna nel tempo.
La torre è stata costruita all'interno di una antica tonnara e successivamente utilizzata a difesa del territorio. La tradizione storica ci racconta che la torre venne eretta sui resti di un antico casale arabo detto Mazil.
In questo quadro, i colori del crepuscolo fanno da sfondo alla Luna cinerea che si appresta a tramontare .

There is no place in Sicily where you feel time slowing down like in its salt pans. Facing west, on the coast of Trapani, the salt pans of the Nubia district are tinged with the colors of the sunset every day. Its pools go from green to yellow, from orange to pink from the tiny algae of the waters that crystallize the salt. Its placid surfaces become a mirror for the clouds and the stars in the sky.
Together with them the silhouette of the Nubia Tower is reflected, a silent companion over time.
The tower was built inside an ancient trap and later used to defend the territory. Historical tradition tells us that the tower was erected on the remains of an ancient Arab farmhouse called Mazil.
