Da tempo pianificavo di realizzare uno scatto con la Basilica di Piazza Armerina in primo piano. Non so dire se 5 anni sono pochi o molti ma le condizioni ideali per catturare la sottile falce Lunare si sono verificate solamente ieri. A volte il meteo ma anche gli impegni personali mi hanno impedito di realizzare questa immagine. Certo le occasioni in cui era possibile allineare il falcetto lunare sono state veramente poche!
Attendere del tempo è una parte non trascurabile del piacere di realizzare queste immagini. Fotografie inseguite con il cuore e con la mente, con l'unico scopo di promuovere il bello della Sicilia sotto il cielo stellato. E il bello non chiede niente di più e niente di meno che il sacrificio e soprattutto richiede al fotografo di entrare in sintonia con i luoghi, perchè è solo in questa sintonia che si rivela l'anima di una fotografia e l'immagine diventa storia: la storia del bello! la storia di questa fantastica terra! Godetevi la basilica di Piazza Armerina dedicata a Maria Santissima delle Vittorie con la sua imponente cupola che svetta sopra i 70 metri e il suo campanile che sembra protendersi per sfiorare la Luna.

I had long planned to take a shot with the Piazza Armerina Basilica in the foreground. I cannot say whether five years is a few or many, but the ideal conditions for capturing the thin lunar crescent occurred only yesterday.
