The last gleams of the sun are illuminating the skyline of Ortigia.
The air is transparent and free of humidity, which makes the colours of the golden hour particularly intense and brilliant.
I waited for the moon to rise over the Spirito Santo church but this time it almost fooled me! Accomplicated by a bank of clouds moving eastwards, the Moon was almost completely hidden and for a moment I feared it had thwarted my efforts. Instead...no. We played hide and seek, but she could not escape my gaze.
