Angelo, the protagonist of this image, represents all the enthusiasts who took part in the last Star Party of the Madonie, organised by ORSA of Palermo. Together, they spent the night scanning the sky and capturing its fleeting beauty: nebulae, star clusters, galaxies, but also constellations full of myths and stars with ancient names.
This simple but powerful photograph recounts the magic of the Milky Way showing itself clear in one of Sicily's darkest skies. It is the story of someone who, for passion or study, has chosen to be guided by the stars and the eternal fascination of astronomy.
