A small village in ancient Sicily, built with the aim of repopulating the countryside, today survives the passage of time. All is not lost, the memory is still alive and the village has returned to new life, recovered with a careful restoration work that has restored luster to the small town. One last building remains, testifying to the passage of time: the church at the end of the avenue that still awaits human intervention. The church appears torn and the left aisle has detached from the building and hangs dangerously with its bell tower. Through the hole in the church the sky of the constellation of the Swan stands out. This hosts a portion of the Milky Way full of stars and celestial objects among the most famous: from the North America nebula, to the Pelican nebula, from the Veil nebula to the IC1318 complex around the star Sadr. The area is also rich in dark nebulae which, due to interstellar dust, are able to block the light of the stars, appearing as real dark spots between the stars and the hydrogen emission nebulae. Each object, each star seems to be placed there as a witness to the history of humanity.
Un piccolo borgo della Sicilia antica, costruito con lo scopo di ripopolare le campagne, sopravvive oggi al trascorrere del tempo. Non tutto è perduto, la memoria ancora è viva e il borgo è tornato a nuova vita, recuperato con un'attenta opera di restauro che ha ridato lustro al piccolo paese. Rimane un ultimo edificio, a testimonianza del trascorrere del tempo: la chiesa in fondo al viale che ancora attende l'intervento dell'uomo. La chiesa appare squarciata e la navata sinistra si è staccata dall'edificio e pende pericolosamente con il suo campanile. Attraverso lo squarcio nella chiesa si staglia il cielo della costellazione del Cigno. Questo ospita una porzione della Via Lattea ricca di stelle e oggetti celesti tra i più famosi: dalla nebulosa Nord America, alla nebulosa Pellicano
