Star Trail Over The Snowy Craters of Mount Etna

As comet 2022 E3 rose from the South East crater, a second camera captured the movement of the sky in a snowy landscape. The entire expanse above Piano Vetore was covered with fresh snow on which it was possible to see only the footprints of foxes and hares and small glimmers of ice crystals that glimmered in the light of our torches. A small tree, perhaps a fir, supported the weight of the snow on its branches, acting as a silent spectator to the rotation of the stars above the top of the volcano.
